If you are looking to up the ante at your next event, then an LED display rental could be an excellent option. LED screens have the potential to generate a ton of revenue and increase the event-goer experience when done right.

LED display rental refers to renting a display that utilizes LED technology. LED (short for light-emitting diode) has become today’s standard for display technology due to its superior brightness, color contrast, and energy efficiency.

While LED is used with pretty much all displays, the term “LED screen rental” typically refers to renting displays that are much larger than any device for personal consumption. That is, giant screens for events requiring mass viewing by large numbers of people.

A more accurate term for these giant displays is “LED video wall”. LED video walls link together many individual panels or modules to form one large display. Linking together individual panels allows for unlimited display sizes with custom shapes and aspect ratios. The term “LED display rental” can also be called “jumbotron rental” “LED screen rental” and “LED wall rental”.

LED displays are typically priced at a daily rate, with the first day being the most expensive, and consecutive days costing around 20% of the day 1 rate. The starting rate for a smaller LED wall around 10-12 feet wide can range from $3,000-$5,000 for a one day rental.

Thus a 16’x9′ screen will cost you between $5,760 and $10,080. The large rate range is due to a variance in price based on factors such as pixel pitch, brightness rating, location, and how the screen is constructed.

In general, the minimum you should plan on paying out for a 1 day rental is $3,500. If this is past your budget, read on to #3 for alternative display options. Also see #9 How to monetize your screen.

At Insane Impact, we offer competitive pricing with industry leading products and services. What sets us apart from other providers is our all-encompassing pricing and service. When you receive a rental quote from us, it includes delivery, setup, operation, power, sound, and unparalleled customer service. All for one flat competitive rate and no unexpected price additions.

If you call any reputable LED screen rental provider, they will be able to properly guide you on the perfect product for your specific application. However, it helps if you know some of the basic types of products and buzzwords prior to making the call.

Mobile – Mobile LED screens are screens that are prefabricated onto a truck or trailer. They travel to your location already fully assembled. They are great for outdoor events that are on a budget and looking for speedy setup and logistical flexibility.

Modular – Modular LED screens are transported as individual panels (typically around 2’x2′ in size) and constructed onsite using trussing equipment. Benefits include custom sizes and shapes, indoor functionality, and a cleaner look.

Indoor – Indoor LED screens are typically modular, since the individual LED panels are able to fit through doorways and be built out inside. They are typically of a higher resolution and do not need to be as durable or shine as bright as outdoor screens.

Outdoor – Outdoor screens shine brighter and are more durable than indoor screens. They also tend to have a lower pixel density and be designed for farther away viewing distances

Resolution – The resolution of a screen is a measurement of the amount of pixels in a display, written as (pixel width) x (pixel height)p. For example, a screen that has a resolution of 1920x1080p is 1,920 pixels wide by 1,080 pixels tall. The higher this number, the higher the image quality.

IP Rating – An IP rating is a measurement of a product’s resistance to nature’s elements. Written as IP(number 1)(number 2), where the first number is a measurement of protection from solid objects and the second number is protection from liquids. Outdoor screens require at least an IP65 rating.

16:9 Ratio – A 16:9 or (1.78:1) ratio is the standard aspect ratio for videos and TV. In short, if you plan on displaying files and feeds in this standard ratio, you need to make sure that your video wall’s width divided by its height is equal to roughly 1.78. Your LED company will help guide you through creating the proper ratio for your content, but if they mention the term now you know what it means.

Since your LED company will run the production, you don’t need to worry about the tech specifics. But it may help you to envision content ideas if you understand the basics. LED screens are operated off of standard desktops or laptops. The computer then feeds into an LED processor, and the display then extends onto the LED screen.

Displaying LED content is no different than hooking up an extra monitor to your computer screen with one extra step – an LED data processor or digitizer. This piece of equipment maps the individual panels to form one large, seamless display.

If you are wanting to tie in other display feeds or even audio into the LED equipment, that is simple as well. Audio typically ties in with an XLR input, and video can connect with SDI, HDMI, DVI, D Port, or VGA connections. These connections plug into the LED processor or digitizer.

If you are ready to receive a quote, the LED company will ask some basic information such as how large your event is, what the minimum/maximum viewing distance will be, and some additional logistical questions. Based on your needs they will help you select the right product and send over an official quote.

Once the quote is generated, there will be a contract for services. LED companies typically require a down payment of between 25% and 50% of your invoice prior to completion. Should you need to cancel your event, the down payment is usually non-refundable, however that deposit can be used as credit toward any future event.

When your event day comes, you will have 1 or multiple LED technicians arrive onsite at a predetermined time. Depending on the estimated setup time and show requirements, they may arrive several hours prior to start time, or the day before. You will have at least one technician to operate the screen(s) per the run of show. They are onsite for the duration of the event to cater to your needs and troubleshoot any potential technical issues if they arise.

Once the event is completed (also referred to as “strike” time, or the time that they can power down the screen), your technician will begin tearing down the equipment to hit the road. Your sales representative will follow up with you the next business day to ensure your satisfaction, and may ask you for a review of their services.

Remember, your primary goal should be to enhance the experience of your attendees with exciting content. However, when done correctly you can also generate a ton of sponsorship revenue. Ideas for promoting sponsors on the screen include hung print signage, digital logo overlays, sponsored content, and logo loops. As Padres pitchers and catchers reported to Peoria, Ariz., Tuesday for spring training, top team and Time Warner Cable executives met for about an hour in Los Angeles to discuss the TV impasse that blacked out last season’s games across much of San Diego County.

Some customers said Thursday they wouldn’t wait long before switching to a provider carrying Fox Sports San Diego, and that was before a Time Warner spokesman emailed me this uncompromising statement at 8:30 p.m.

“We were happy to meet with the owners of the Padres, but they were not there to negotiate; the negotiations are handled by Fox,” Time Warner spokesman Dennis Johnson wrote. “Our offer of last year to Fox for carriage of the Padres stands.”

Team spokeswoman Sarah Farnsworth called the meeting “cordial and informative” and also “good” but didn’t elaborate much beyond that. Baseball-loving Time Warner customers won’t be thrilled with the team’s apparent lack of progress or the company’s rigid stance and may now be wondering what the point of the meeting was.

“Our household, for one, will not spend another season without the Padres broadcasts,” one person wrote me. “Time Warner has a month to do the right thing or we are moving to AT&T. (And in case you are interested, even without Fox Sports, TWC has just increased their rates almost $20.00 a month. Just doesn’t seem right.....)”

Still, the meeting itself is a step in the right direction after months and months of stalled negotiations between Time Warner and Fox Sports San Diego, which bought the rights to Padres telecasts for 20 years last season and which is one-fifth owned by the Padres.

Here is what Farnsworth emailed me when I asked her about the meeting: “Ron Fowler, Peter Seidler and Tom Garfinkel had a very cordial and informative meeting with TWC leadership. Ensuring all Padres fans have access to Padres games remains a club priority.” Fowler and Seidler are co-owners. Garfinkel is the team’s CEO.

I wrote back, “Can you share where it was, how long it lasted and who else was there? For instance, I’ve heard conflicting reports that the mayor was there. Also, what’s next?”

So there you have it. And you’ll have more as I know it. As for my Twitter and Facebook posts Tuesday that I’d heard San Diego Mayor Bob Filner would attend the meeting, that turned out not to be true. I’d heard that from one of my #PadrestothePeople emailers who said the mayor had personally said this past weekend that he was meeting Tuesday with Time Warner and the Padres and that the impasse was on his agenda, as he promised it would be at my rally outside Petco Park this summer.

Based on that information, I emailed the Mayor’s Office daily starting Tuesday for a statement on the meeting. I’ll include that exchange below, if for no reason other than it seems kind of funny now given that he wasn’t there.

Battle had rushed for only 155 yards in his four-year career before kickoff and had just one carry in the first quarter against Indianapolis, but he was virtually unstoppable the rest of the game.

It was quite a performance for an undrafted free agent from the University of Houston who primarily had toiled on special teams during his NFL career.

They also overcame suddenly dynamic Indy quarterback Curtis Painter, who benefited from having the injured Peyton Manning available as a teacher on the sideline. Painter opened the game 12 of 17 for 237 yards with two TDs and a near-perfect 152.2 rating. A series of second-half drops prevented the Colts from moving the ball, though, and now the Chiefs have won two straight after starting the season 0-3.

Kansas City’s running game had struggled since star running back Jamaal Charles was knocked out for the season with a torn ACL in his left knee. In the games since Charles’ injury, Kansas City (2-3) had rushed for 81 yards against San Diego and 103 yards against Minnesota. With Battle leading the way, the Chiefs pounded the ball 38 times for a season-high 194 yards.

Battle was at his best in the second half while the Chiefs were rallying. He had 81 yards on 13 carries after halftime and added 21 yards on two catches for 102 total yards.

“There’s never a time when I’ve seen him get hit where he doesn’t somehow fall forward,” Cassel said. “He’s done a great job for us. Hopefully, he’ll continue to grow in this offense.”

Battle’s running provided balance for Cassel, who was an efficient 21 of 29 for 257 yards with a rating of 138.9. He threw four touchdown passes - two each to Bowe and Steve Breaston.

Bowe caught seven passes for 128 yards and simply outmuscled the much smaller Jacob Lacey for many of them. Breaston caught four passes for 50 yards but made a spectacular effort to get into the end zone at the end of the first half and a terrific move against a backup cornerback to give the Chiefs their only lead with 5:15 left.

Painter completed 15 of 27 passes for 277 yards. He threw a 6-yard TD pass to Pierre Garcon on the opening series and after a 53-yard field goal from Adam Vinatieri, he hooked up with Garcon on a 67-yard TD pass to make it 17-0 less than 20 minutes into the game. Garcon finished with five catches for 125 yards.

Childhood and the teen years are critical periods for growing bones and establishing a bone density level that can affect osteoporosis risk much later in life.

Among the 316 boys and 372 girls aged 15 to 19 years old, those who spent two to four hours, or more than six hours, in front of the screen every day tended to be slightly heavier than their peers who spent less time in front of screens. And boys overall spent more time in front of the computer and television than girls (five hours a day versus four).

For the study, the youngsters reported how many hours per day they spent in front of the computer or watching television or DVDs on weekends, as well as how much time they were sedentary, walked, cycled and participated in recreational sports weekly.

The American College of Sports Medicine recommends 10 to 20 minutes of gymnastics or running or jumping, or other weight-bearing exercise at least three days weekly for children and adolescents.

“I think you can never say too often what the authors were saying,” said Dr. Laura Bachrach, a pediatric endocrinologist at Stanford University Medical School in California. “We’re really worried about this because there’s sort of this critical time between being born and reaching the early 20s when you’re setting up the scaffolding of life (in terms of the geometry and density of the bone),” she told Reuters Health by email.

“You sort of max out in your early 20s and there is real concern that the lifestyle of young people nowadays versus 40 or 50 years ago is setting people up to be more at risk as adults for not having a very robust bone bank as they age,” Bachrach said.

That was probably one of the biggest sources of stress last week, was that, we just didn"t do a very good job. There"s been games where we"ve done a really good job and we just need to get off the field give our offense more opportunities and it helps us too, helps us stay fresh and it helps us when we"re not having to play 85 plays and I don"t blame anybody for that but ourselves, not being able get off the field on third down.

It"s unfortunate on the one too because it was kind of a fate thing there that injury situation, I never worriy about Julius Brents in those situations against anybody. He"s as good as they come in the country and yeah, Julius was doing a good job with him. For that matter, you know, when we matched him up with other people, other people did a good job with him too. And Josh Hayes had a couple of trips with him in the slot and Ekow Boye-Doe had a couple with him throughout the game, Jacob Parrish even had a couple and I thought those guys were up to the challenge.

It"s kind of been the deal. You know, just the revolving door of people. I have total faith and confidence in Nick Allen to get the job done. Nick"s gotten a significant amount of reps over the past couple of years. In the Oklahoma State game last year he played three quarters of the game because Daniel got ejected for targeting the first half people remember that? I never worried about Nick, I think he"s a warrior. I think he totally understands what we"re doing. Very strong and can get the job done physically in there, can run the show mentally. So we didn"t adjust anything based on that. You know, but certainly like having him in there.

That"s always been dealt with as few times in the career, not often, fortunately. Knock on wood but that"s a really weird deal. You want to get the guys are going to be playing in his stead more than normal. We do a pretty good job I think though of equally balancing our reps with our ones and our twos so when those guys numbers are called they have not been sitting on the shelf for months. I mean, they"re they"re getting the same amount of practice reps as the quote unquote starters.

I think Jake Clifton will see some more time, I think Gavin Forsha will see some more time. But those guys have been in games a little bit. Gavin played decent amount last last week, especially in the second half. I think those guys" reps will increase and I think Austin Moore has been rolling but he may have to go the distance.

The answer is always gonna be no unless you don"t have any. But, you know, the first one was a technique error really and it wasn"t even the design of the play for it to happen the way it happened and their quarterback did a nice job extending the play, really fast kid, didn"t play it very well. Then it happened and unfortunately happened right out of the gate and then the Julius Brents one is kind of a act of God I guess on that one. The other one that jumps out in my mind was a third and 17 and they threw a slip screen that I were to change the call any from what we did, we just didn"t make the play, sometimes that"s going to happen too, but guys just keep playing hard and keep swinging and good things will happen.

Haven"t been here for a long time. Yeah, it"s gonna be awesome. I give credit to TCU, I thought the crowd was awesome. It was electric. It made a difference in that, if they"re down 28-10 and they"re at our place and our crowds getting on it, like they were, I don"t know if they have the fight to come back, but being at home and then scoring before the end of the half and kind of carrying that momentum with them just kind of kept them alive I think and things could definitely been different had the environment been different.

I"m not saying anything about players. Obviously I could have put us in a different situation there too. But if you look at that thing on tape, we probably had that thing knocked in the backfield and then we talked a lot about our tackling angles and our tackling pursuit and on that particular play, even if we miss that, where we did, probably should have been knocked down for about 10 and it wasn"t and that"s the play that got that whole drive started before the half and things like that happen and that"s football sometimes but I still trust our guys to make those plays.

I think that we"re playing absolutely incredibly hard. I think we"re still improving in our execution. But I think we get ourselves out of a lot of jams just because our guys play so dang hard across the board and I"m so proud of those guys for that and there"s a handful of guys that are playing just incredible amount of snaps and they"re just taking it in, they"re going and we battled through a lot of injuries. We battled through a lot of things and you wouldn"t know, our guys just take it and go.

I think it starts with Spencer Sanders and his ability to run and his ability to see the field really well. He has been playing forever, he was a problem in 2019 when I first got here and the design things that they have for him and then the things that he does off the cuff so to speak with the scrambles and those things, extending plays and then the fact that they"re not afraid to take chances. I mean, sometimes guys get conservative and these guys will push the ball down the field considerably and they"re not afraid to put themselves in second and 10 just because they know the quarterback can bail them out.

I think so. We tried to do that a little bit last week and it just didn"t. We did some, the situations weren"t always right for it. But you know, we try to match personnel as much as we can. So if they have tight ends in the game, we generally have bigger people in the game and that"s not always true, but that"s sometimes the way we like to play it and if they have a bunch of receivers in the game, we"re gonna have a bunch of little guys in the game, and again, that"s not always true, but that"s sometimes how we try to think about things.

I would say a little bit, there"s some different styles in their running ability. I have gotten to know more of what some of the calls and situations that Adrian really likes versus, a lot of them are the same, but then there"s some differences in certain pass concepts that Will feels comfortable, that"s different. Just trying to visualize, if I"m them and as we"ve worked through the week, and how to prepare things of what"s best suited to them in that situation and let them do their thing.

We definitely had to get inside the 30. I mean, we were gonna need a first down, you know what I mean? So it was, hey, let"s try to sequence to get to a fourth down and manageable or, hey, let"s see if we can throw for it and get it and that type of deal. So it was two trains of thought and obviously didn"t work.

Was trying to do a Max protection, kind of move the pocket a little bit for him, three level stretch. It was very clear and after the first play, I mean, there were nine guys in the box and wanted to give him a three level stretch play and it was basically zero coverage and, but again, he was in a very, very hard situation when you"re on your heels, on the road, having to deal with some of those dynamics and some tough situations. Tough deal.

I"d say there"s nothing like when you"ve been in that fire and you"ve been in those battles, and you"ve been in those heated moments of games in contention, games on the line, having to make those judgment call decisions with confidence, with full speed. Obviously, having been through that, through the first two years, having worked as hard as he has and prepared as well as he has to improve his craft and build true confidence is in being able to watch him build on that and go out and perform like he did, I was so proud of him.

It"s exciting, and honestly, it"s been a point of emphasis for us the last few weeks because we have struggled in that area and to be able to stay on the field. What a great challenge and that"s how our guys are looking at it and they"re really good on defense, they play extremely physical, they"re aggressive, they tackle well, but everybody in our league is good defensively and this is a great chance for our guys to step up, I and we need to put a good plan together and make sure they"re in good position.

It"s one of those things that I think from a player standpoint, you get into that battle mindset, right? That you just start going and you don"t really think about it until it"s something that gets to the point where it holds you back and then it"s debilitating. From a coach"s standpoint, yeah. You try to manage it, but then you get in the flow too, you got to just feel how he"s doing and I mean, I"ll never forget, I remember before Texas A&M my junior year. And Dana said, yeah, you know, we"ll manage it, you know, and was dinged up and whatever and 35 carries later, I was like, whoa. But we won, you know, and it was obviously four overtimes. It"s one of those things that everybody"s just scratching and clawing and trying to do the best they can and obviously, we"ll take care of them and do what we can.

There are also specific lightweight and modular versions for rental which are very easy to move about and assemble and thus ideal for temporary or travelling events. They can be incorporated into the tour artists stand making concerts more spectacular and memorable especially when there are the masses of people that certain events attract. These need to be supported by visuals which ensure that the show can be seen by all the audience, particularly those who are far away from the stage.

A concert, a trade fair, an international motocross race. But also a political campaign in the area. These are just some examples where LED big screens are used to run events involving large numbers of people.

As far as managing the displays used for sports and a range of general spectacular events is concerned, obviously some spots will be used advertising in order to assess how much attention the display can attract. One case in particular is demonstrated by the use of a LED display in a football stadium. The big positioned above the corners can be seen by all the spectators in the stadium and mainly give information about the football game, the line up on the pitch, weather conditions - temperature, wind, humidity – results as they happen, the time played, real time results of other games being played at the same time, information on safety and behaviour in the stadium and also replays of goals for distracted spectators, etc. They are a part of the sports event and add to the spectators experience together with everything else which is termed entertainment in the stadium.

Recently another type of display is finding its place into the stadiums. This is the pitchside perimeter advertising system with LED display which has gradually replaced the traditional billboards. Different to the big screens in the corners, the logic behind these installations is purely commercial. The spots of the sponsors which are broadcast can also be seen by television audiences increasing the catchment area..
