Stand out for all the right reasons. The V60 isn’t simply a repurposed sedan with a lifted trunk. Rather, it’s designed for purpose, the way a wagon should be. The wide grille and lights form a prominent face. Clean lines flow from the classic Volvo V-shaped sculpted hood, creating strong shoulders that frame the signature tail lights and integrated exhaust. Clearly, the V60 has a style of its own.

Since our first wagon, safety has always been a priority. Volvo IntelliSafe offers features like standard City Safety, which prevents or mitigates slow moving collisions with smart automatic braking. Optional Pedestrian & Cyclist Detection, with full auto brake can automatically stop you at speeds up to 31 mph if a person steps or swerves suddenly into your lane. Trust us, this car knows what it’s doing.

Volvo introduced its first wagon 60 years ago, and the V60 is yet another evolution in the saga. We’ve always believed the wagon is everything a car should be: dynamic, versatile, and safe. In the V60 we’ve built upon our love for wagons and driving to give you the handling and versatility found only in a Volvo wagon.

In a car that seems to do everything, we wanted to help you do a little more too. The V60’s intuitive and advanced features were designed with you in mind. Choose from three modes to personalize your Adaptive Digital TFT Display, and use Integrated Bluetooth® to enjoy hands-free mobile operation and audio streaming from any connected device.

automotive safety, we have reduced the risk of being involved in an accident or being injured in one of our latest car models by abound 50 per cent since the year 2000. By continuously introducing new preventive and protective systems, we keep moving towards our safety vision that nobody should die or suffer serious injuries in a new Volvo car by the year 2020," says Thomas Broberg, Senior Safety Advisor at Volvo Car Group.

"The new features in the new Volvo S80, V70 and XC70 are based on our human-centric approach, which has been a Volvo hallmark for more than 85 years. They take the elegant sophistication of our largest models to a new level," says Lex Kerssemakers, Senior Vice President, Product Strategy & Vehicle Line Management at Volvo Car Group. He continues: "We pave the way for our future model line-up by bringing the three models visually closer to each other. The renewal is one of the most extensive in our history, with the main focus on improved quality and attention to detail."

A number of new exterior design cues reinforce the sophisticated contemporary presence of the new Volvo S80. The new front and rear bumpers create a "stretched" effect to make it look wider and lower. New rectangular Daytime Running Lights at the front give the S80 nose a more contemporary look, while the rounded off classic Volvo lights at the rear visually pull the car down to the ground. The S80 can be fitted with expressive 19-inch wheels without loss of comfort.

"We"ve been creating wagons since 1953, when the "two cars in one" Volvo Duett was launched. Six decades on, our new Volvo V70 carries on the tradition of combining form and function beautifully," says Fedde Talsma.

The fuel consumption of the 115 hp, four-cylinder D2 diesel in the new Volvo S80 with a manual gearbox is now down to a class-leading 4.1 l/100 km (EU Combined, preliminary figures), which translates into CO2 emissions of 108 g/km - unthinkable in a car of this size only a few years ago. The corresponding figures with the automatic gearbox are 4.1 l/100km and 109 g/km (preliminary figures). To emphasise the scale of the engineers" achievement, this is the same CO2 emission level for Volvo"s largest saloon as for the company"s smallest car, the C30 DRIVe, only three years ago.

The new Volvo V70 D2 has class-leading fuel consumption at 4.2 l/100 km (111 g/km) with the manual and 4.3 l/100 km (112 g/km) with the automatic gearbox (preliminary figures).

The HMI (Human Machine Interface) functionality Sensus is extended with the option to add intuitive all-new technology that enables connectivity and Internet in the car. The Sensus Connected Touch turns the 7-inch display into a state-of-the-art infrared, beam-scanned touch screen that can be used even when wearing gloves - a world first in cars.

The Adaptive Digital Display, which debuted in the all-new V40, uses an active TFT (Thin Film Transistor) crystal display to bring the driver personalised information.

The Eco mode has a green colour theme and is designed to encourage and reward a fuel-efficient driving style. The Eco meter on the left displays current and accumulated fuel consumption - and optimal eco-driving is rewarded with a green E light.

Performance features red illumination, and a rev counter scale replaces the speedometer displayed in the Elegance and Eco versions, while the vehicle speed is shown digitally. On the right, a power meter shows how much engine power is available, which is a very useful tool for overtaking.

"As the leader in automotive safety, we have reduced the risk of being involved in an accident or being injured in one of our latest car models by abound 50 per cent since the year 2000. By continuously introducing new preventive and protective systems, we keep moving towards our safety vision that nobody should die or suffer serious injuries in a new Volvo car by the year 2020," says Thomas Broberg, Senior Safety Advisor at Volvo Car Group.

Used TFT clocks DIM from S/V60, XC60, S80II, XC/V70III made in the years 2014 to 2017 (the unit from V40 series can only be used in V40 cars - it has different mechanical shape than x60, x70, x80)

make sure that you located the TFT DIM that matches the transmission type of the target car - Automatic (PRND display) or Manual (+ Gear -) on the right side of the display. Diesel/petrol fuel type of the donor car does NOT matter.

2pcs original Volvo terminals for repair (P/N 30656697) or 2 used terminals from a white DIM Volvo connector which is a standard for all Volvos starting from 2005

Then press DECODE CEM. We must warn you this process can take up to 24 hours(but on average it usually does not take more than 12 hours). During the whole process you can interrupt the decoding process and continue later. If you do the CEM PIN decoding then you no longer need to do it again. Thanks to this you can also make other changes in the vehicle configuration including the TFT retrofit. After this process is done you will receive an email to the account you put in in the beginning.

Then choose CAR CONFIGURATION and then “Car configuration wizard”. Then you only need to choose the “TFT retrofit” wizard. Make sure DIM is connected.

2 new fixing wires (Volvo P/N 30656697 or used) must be connected to position 7 and 8 to the white DIM connector. Keep plugging in the wires into the “body” of the connector until you can hear them click properly. Then you just place and click in the blue thingy to its place. If the wires do not sit they are supposed to the blue thingy will not stick.

Connect DiCE again, turn the ignition key to position II and open VDASH again on your computer. Go to “Car configuration wizard” and choose TFT retrofit again.

VDASH will begin to look for the newly connected TFT DIM. If all wires are correctly plugged in, the update process will begin. If not then check the connecting of the wires again using the multimeter.

Your vehicle will restart itself many times during the process and at the end you will see a picture of the vehicle, the state of fuel and more. At the very beginning the incorrect measures can be displayed, but after a short trial run it should be fixed. The kilometres will also automatically reappear.

You can change and move the clock motivesonly when the engine is running (this does not have any specific explanation). The designated motive is Elegance(grey or brown). It is possible to reprogramme this motive to a blue version “R-design” (using car configuration > advanced settings > Advanced TFT DIM settings > Screen Skins > DIM: R-design menu), motives Ecoand Powerremain unchanged.

1. Temporarily disconnect new, already connected cables from the white DIM connector, and connect the original ones2. Start up the engine (SCL  the steering lock should loosen up)3. While the engine is on disconnect the original DIM connector and reconnect TFT DIM4. Turn the engine off and lock it5. SCL will not turn on again (unless you connect the original pack). This will save you shipping costs, as SCL becomes used with time, but not yours!

The first generation (2000–2009)S70 and was based on the P2 platform. It had a similar designed estate version called Volvo V70 and a high performance engine and sports-oriented suspension version called S60 R.ECC concept car and the S80.

The third generation joined the Volvo line-up in 2018 for the 2019 model year.Scalable Product Architecture platform, in America"s first Volvo factory in Ridgeville, South Carolina.

The Volvo S60 was released in 2000 (2001 model year) being the company"s new generation sports sedan. The S60 is aimed to mainly compete in Europe with the BMW 3 Series (E46), the Mercedes-Benz C-Class (W203) and the Alfa Romeo 156. Unlike its rivals, the Volvo S60 continued production for 9 years with multiple facelifts. When it was introduced the appearance was unlike the squared vehicles offered in previous years, and continued the new design tradition introduced by the larger S80, utilizing a cab forward approach and was more organic appearing with a pronounced shelf along the beltline that ran the length of the vehicle, achieving a Cd=0.28 drag coefficient.crumple zones, driver and front passenger dual threshold airbags with a collapsible three-stage steering column, Side Impact Protection System (SIPS) supplemented with air bags for driver and front passenger, along with a side curtain airbag for front and rear passengers, anti-submarine seats, five padded head restraints with Whiplash Protection System (WHIPS), and automatic seat belt pretensioners while front belts also have height adjustment.

The S60 came standard with Volvo"s own radio unit, the HU-613, the HU-803 and was later upgraded to the HU-650 and an optional extra HU-850 unit. The HU-850 unit features a 225 or 335-watt power output (depending on optional external amplifier) with three presets: 2CH, 3CH and Dolby Digital Pro Logic II Surround Sound. The Four-C chassis from the S60 R became an option on some S60s.

Police specification models came about through Volvo"s extensive work alongside the users of the vehicles and Police Fleet Management departments. As a result, the Police specification vehicles have a striking difference from original showroom model that sometimes the Volvo S60 is used as police cars.

First introduced in 2004, Volvo"s S60 R used a Haldex computer controlled all-wheel-drive system mated to a 300 PS (221 kW; 296 hp) / 400 N⋅m (300 lbf⋅ft) inline-5 which sends 95 percent of the torque to the front wheels under normal driving conditions and can send up to 70 percent to the rear wheels as necessary.manual transmission, or an available 5-speed automatic which allowed only 258 lb⋅ft (350 N⋅m) torque in 1st and 2nd gears. The 2006–2007 models came with a 6-speed manual or 6-speed automatic transmission (which was no longer torque-restricted).

Semi-active suspension with Four-C (a short name for "Continuously Controlled Chassis Concept") allows the user to select from three modes: Comfort, Sport, and Advanced. "Comfort" attempts to soften the car over bumps, while "Advanced" firms the suspension considerably and gives more aggressive throttle response - a setting Volvo implies is for use on the race track. This is accomplished through a drive by wire throttle, allowing the same pedal travel to result in different performance when the appropriate mode is selected,Ohlins Racing AB and shock absorber manufacturer Monroe for the self-adjusting shock absorbers.

Another Volvo factory option for only the S60 R was a body kit which included front bumper splitters, side skirts and a rear valance, color matched to the body. The body kit was only available with certain body colors and in certain markets.

The second generation S60 began production in Ghent, Belgium on May 17, 2010, with an expected annual production of 90,000 vehicles.Geneva Motor Show in March 2010.Haldex AWD system. More differences in the second generation S60 include the new large Volvo iron symbol, parallel to the grille LED day running lamps and larger spaced letters in the brand name on rear.

The Volvo S60 and V60 come with Volvo"s City Safety system as standard, which is the same system fitted to its sister the XC60. This system stops the car in the event of impending collision in "City Traffic" below 19 mph (31 km/h). Also, a new safety feature named "Pedestrian Detection" (available on both the V60 and S60) detects people in front of the car and automatically applies the brakes if the driver does not react in time. The new sedan shows off Volvo"s completely new design language already seen in the Volvo XC60 concept. It rides on the same platform as the XC60. The goal of this new design was to target younger demographics.

In 2013, the T5 engine was revamped before the launch of the Drive-E arrival. Among the tweaks to the T5 power plant is a boost in engine compression to 9.5:1 from 9.0, engine torque peaks at 4200 rpm and engine management changes provide faster gear changes and upshifts when the 6-speed automatic gearbox is in the sport mode. Output remains the same over 2012 at 250 bhp (186 kW; 253 PS) and 266 lb⋅ft (361 N⋅m) of torque, although there is a provision for overboost from the turbo which bumps the torque number to 295 lb⋅ft (400 N⋅m). The changes in compression ratio helps the S60 T5 deliver 1 mpg‑US (0.43 km/L) extra in the city and combined cycle. Front-drive versions are rated at 21 mpg‑US (8.9 km/L) city/30 mpg‑US (13 km/L) highway for a combined of 24 mpg‑US (10 km/L), while the AWD model is 1 mpg‑US (0.43 km/L) less across the board. Volvo also says the T5 AWD is good for a 0–60 mph (0–97 km/h) sprint of 6.6 seconds, while the front-drive version is 0.2 seconds quicker.

Changes include all-new exterior panels from the A-pillars forward including a new hood, front fenders and fascia; a wider grille with a larger Ironmark is flanked by new headlights while a larger, wider lower front intake gains bright accents and horizontally mounted LED daytime running lights; new integrated exhaust pipes at rear, a new Adaptive Digital TFT Display instrument cluster for select models (R-Design versions include unique blue instrument dials), new paddle shifters on T6 AWD and R-Design models (optional on T5), Advanced Quick Shift (AQS) option on all T6 engines and activated when the transmission is set to sport mode or when using paddle shifters, IntelliSafe with Pedestrian Detection and Cyclist Detection with full auto brake and Cross Traffic Alert became part of the Technology Package, a new radar-based Blind Spot Information System (BLIS) to monitor and alert the driver to rapidly approaching vehicles behind the car while still informing the driver about vehicles in the blind spots on both sides of the car, Cross Traffic Alert with radar sensors at the rear end of the car to alert the driver to crossing traffic from the sides when reversing out of a parking space.

North America models went on sale as 2014 model year vehicles in late 2013. Early models include S60 T5 (base, Premier, Premier Plus, Platinum), T6 (AWD, Premier Plus, Platinum, R-Design AWD, RD Platinum).

The Volvo S60L PPHEV (Petrol Plug-in Hybrid Electric Vehicle) concept car was unveiled at the 2014 Beijing International Automotive Exhibition.Volvo Cars announced that the S60L PPHEV will be manufactured at the Chengdu plant and is scheduled to be launched in China in the first half of 2015.

The S60L PPHEV shares the same electric-drive technology as the Volvo V60 Plug-in Hybrid, but instead of the diesel engine of the V60, the S60L PPHEV has a 2-liter, four-cylinder gasoline turbocharged engine from Volvo Cars’ new Drive-E engine family. The 50 kW (67 hp) electric motor is powered by an 11.2 kWh lithium-ion battery pack that delivers an all-electric range of up to 50 km (31 mi). The petrol-powered engine produces 177 kW (237 hp) and 350 N·m (258 lb-ft) of torque. The driver can select via three buttons among three driving modes: Pure, Hybrid or Power. In the default hybrid mode, the CO2 emissions are about 50 g/km, corresponding to a fuel consumption of 2.0 L/100 km (140 mpg‑imp; 120 mpg‑US). By selecting Pure mode, the car runs in all-electric mode, and the Power mode combines the capabilities of the engine and motor to deliver 225 kW (302 hp), 550 N·m (405 lb-ft) of torque and 0–100 km/h (62 mph) acceleration in 5.5 seconds.

Volvo unveiled the production model, the S60L T6 Twin Engine PHEV, at the 2015 Shanghai Motor Show. Sales of the S60L T6 PHEV, limited to the Chinese market, began on 22 April 2015. The production model has an all-electric range of 53 km (33 mi).

A new limited production model known as the S60 Cross Country saw a limited American release in the autumn of 2015 (as it was for the 2015 model year in Europe), with each dealership only getting one car. This variant is similar to the Volvo V60 Cross Country, as it is a raised sedan variant of the S60. Limited to about 500 units from 2016 to 2017.

The S60 continued to be raced after the formation of the Scandinavian Touring Car Championship, a merger of the Swedish and Danish touring car championships. Thed Björk won three consecutive titles from 2013 to 2015, and Rikard Göransson won the championship in 2016, driving an S60 prepared by Polestar Racing.

Volvo competed in the V8 Supercars Championship with two rear wheel drive V8 B8444S powered S60s between 2014 and 2016 with Garry Rogers Motorsport highlighted by a debut 2nd place at the Adelaide 500, a last second overtake to steal a race win at the Phillip Island Circuit, and third for Scott McLaughlin in the 2016 series driver standings.

On the exterior, Volvo"s best-selling model, the XC60, gets a more urban twist. The redesigned front features a new hood shape that emphasises the wide, confident look.

The T6 petrol engine has a displacement of 3.0 litres and pumps out 304 hp and no less than 440 Nm of torque. Fuel consumption is 10.7 l/100 km (EU Combined). The engine"s power is delivered to the wheels via Volvo"s second-generation six-speed automatic Geartronic transmission.

The automatic D3 (136 hp) and D4 (163 hp) versions of the new Volvo XC60 now come with fuel consumption at 6.0 l/100 km (159 g/km). The figures with the manual gearbox are 5.3 l/100 km (139 g/km).

There are three themes to choose from: Elegance, Eco and Performance.

The default mode Elegance has a classic look and layout. The Eco mode has a green colour theme and is designed to encourage and reward a fuel-efficient driving style. Performance features red illumination, and a rev scale instead of the speedometer displayed in the Elegance and Eco versions.

New advanced software, including more rapid vision processing, has now made it possible to extend Volvo Cars" present detection and auto brake technology to cover certain cyclist situations as well.

Road Sign Information supports the driver by displaying road signs in the instrument display. Road Sign Information can be combined with the Speed Alert function, which provides the driver with a visual warning in the speedometer if the speed limit is exceeded.

The Volvo On Call system can be combined with the Bluetooth mobile phone service. The Bluetooth connection allows hands-free phone conversations as well as music streaming from a preferred Bluetooth enabled portable music player. Volvo is actually the only brand to offer Bluetooth music streaming throughout the entire vehicle range.

A mobile application that makes sure that the driver can stay in touch with the parked car via an iPhone or Android smart phone. The mobile application is an extension of Volvo On Call.

Owners of all new models with Volvo On Call can download the application that opens up a range of connectivity possibilities. The mobile app is free and downloaded via the iPhone and Android application stores. The app is designed to offer the owner an intuitive, easy-to-use relationship with the car from a distance.

Back in the early days of the crossover megatrend, many weren’t much more than regular sedans or station wagons with higher ground clearance. Thus, the Volvo V70, a face-lifted 850 wagon, became the XC Cross Country. Unpainted body cladding, a jacked-up suspension, and earthy color schemes set it apart from the more streamlined base model. The crossover market has since moved ahead, and many carmakers now create unique bodies for their pseudo off-roaders. A prime example of the new type of crossover is Volvo"s own XC60. But the company has also kept the XC70 in the lineup. Today, it is well into its third generation, and it’s getting significant upgrades for the 2014 model year.

The new instrumentation adopts a "tubular" appearance and makes use of TFT technology. It is possible to switch between a standard appearance called "Elegance," a "Performance" look, which places the tachometer in the center and adds a Rolls-Royce-like "power meter," and the inevitable "Eco" mode, which is illuminated in green and rewards your efficient driving with a special indicator. The interior"s ambient lighting has been upgraded, and new options include a heated windshield and a heated steering wheel.

Also included is a Volvo-exclusive interface named "Sensus Connected Touch," which makes use of a seven-inch, centrally mounted touch-screen system monitored by infrared beams. This means that the driver does not need to take off any gloves to operate it. Online functionalities are established through a built-in 3G/4G device, or any occupant’s smartphone in the car. Thus connected to the internet, it’s possible to stream music and listen to internet radio, make use of Google maps and search, find free parking, receive traffic and weather info, and turn the vehicle into a Wi-Fi hotspot. Browsing the web is disabled while driving.

Volvo also has enhanced the XC70’s assistance systems for 2014. Under the "IntelliSafe" moniker, the crossover wagon now packs a standard city-safety system, which brakes the car automatically at speeds up to 31 mph, in congested traffic. A pedestrian-detection system is available, as is a system that monitors the dense forest of road signs and displays the posted speed limit in the instrument cluster.

The exterior changes are minor. The grille has been restyled and now features a honeycomb insert, the Volvo badge has grown larger, and there is a swoopy silver strip around the foglights. The skid plates have been restyled, too. In the rear, the taillights now feature a horizontal silver strip, with another horizontal strip on the liftgate connecting them.

We suspect that Volvo will keep the naturally aspirated 3.2-liter straight-six and the turbocharged 3.0-liter straight-six in the lineup; other markets get the additional choice of two five-cylinder diesel engines. The XC70"s modest but significant changes for 2014 reflect the fact that there wasn"t much wrong with the vehicle in the first place. We predict that the studied scruffiness of this wagon will continue to appeal to a sizable group of buyers—and among the latest SUV-like crossovers, vehicles such as the XC70 now seem almost retro.

Business models include an upgrade to Sensus connect with a 7-inch colour display, internet browser and access to web apps, plus sat-nav and HDD music storage – but you can buy the package as an option on other models. There’s an optional 12-speaker Harman Kardon version too, with DVD player, surround sound and 650 Watts.

While the cabin of the Volvo S60 is a pleasant place to be thanks to its comfortable seats and airy driving environment, some of the switchgear on the dash is confusingly laid out.

Sadly, despite its pleasant atmosphere, the Volvo S60 isn"t the most practical car in the compact executive class - passengers in the back get slightly less space than in an Audi A4 or BMW 3 Series, and headroom could be a problem for taller passengers.

The Volvo S60 has sharp handling, a sleek design, and advanced features. That may or may not line up with your image of the brand, but Volvo says it"s more than enough to put this mid-size premium sedan on the same level as Acura and Infiniti. In other words, get used to it: the S60 is the snappy, safety-minded harbinger of Swedish things to come.

With large wheels and a wedge-shaped nose-to-tail design with swooping lines in the middle, the S60 is more noticeable on the road than any Volvo to come before it. Inside, there"s a blend of flamboyance and Scandinavian simplicity that"s both smart and stylish. High-quality materials, pleasing textures and that "floating" center stack give the car a decidedly hip vibe over some of its more traditional competitors. The exterior of the car has been updated for 2014 to include a slightly revised front bumper, hood, and grille; new headlight design; and LED daytime running lights.

The S60 is just a bit smaller than most U.S.-market mid-size sedans, yet it"s a five-seater with true space for four adults. Front seats aren"t quite the Volvo perches we like from other larger models; they"re a little bit shorter in the lower cushions. But back-seat accommodations are surprisingly good for adults, thanks to some smart contouring. Factor in the quiet cabin and good ride quality and you have a true luxury-car feel--in all but the R-Design, which picks up more road harshness. The 4C dynamic chassis system in the T6 makes it the pick of the bunch for combining performance and comfort; T6 models get driver-selectable steering feel, too. The T6 R-Design throws that out in favor of a dedicated Sport suspension that"s lowered and noticeably stiffer.

In addition to all the expected safety features--such as front, side, and side-curtain airbags; anti-lock brakes; and stability and traction control--what sets the S60 apart is its safety technology. And there"s a lot of it. Corner Traction Control directs torque across the car to enhance grip in aggressive maneuvers; a radar-based Pedestrian Detection with Full Auto Brake can identify and brake for pedestrians or other objects–like cyclists–in the road if the driver doesn"t give the system indication they"re trying to avoid it. The Blind Spot Information System has been updated for 2014 to also include cross-traffic alerts.

Performance-wise, the S60 has its sights set somewhere between the likes of the Buick Regal GS, the Audi A4, and the BMW 3-Series. Now in the S60"s third year, Volvo is rolling out yet more members of the S60 lineup; this time, all-wheel drive is offered in the base T5, making it available with any of the engines.

Volvo rolled out an S60 R-Design in 2012 model aimed at those who might just take their Volvo on the track once in a while. It offered a long list of performance upgrades, most importantly "chipping" the T6 models" 300-hp, 3.0-liter turbocharged in-line six-cylinder engine up to 325 hp. In both the S60 T6 and R-Design models, the engine is smooth, strong, and sweet-sounding, with an uninterrupted rush of power when you need it. The only disappointment here is the six-speed automatic transmission, which doesn"t always respond as quickly as you might hope for a sport sedan. It"s also worth pointing out that while the S60 is a blast to drive in T6 or even R-Design forms, it just doesn"t feel quite as sharp as focused enthusiast sedans like the Cadillac ATS or BMW 3-Series.

From a base front-wheel-drive T5 model at less than $33,000, to a loaded S60 R-Design Platinum, which when loaded can approach $55k, the S60 spans a wide range, appealing as a safe, comfortable, tech-oriented sedan to some shoppers or a powerful sport sedan with some of the latest infotainment, convenience, and active-safety features to others. Volvo has changed the way it equips S60 models: they still come in T5, T6, and R-Design models, but Premier, Premier Plus, and Platinum guises determine the level of extras. Don"t worry; there are still a few standalone options as well.

The world"s first diesel plug-in hybrid is Volvo Car Group"s most technically advanced model ever - an electric car, hybrid car and high-performance car all rolled into one.

Following the successful 2012 introduction in its high-specification "Pure Limited" guise, the ingenious Volvo V60 Plug-in Hybrid is now available with a full range of colours and specifications, including most of the design and technology upgrades of the standard V60, while retaining its unique and class-leading 48 g/km emissions.

Supportive yet comfortable seats that ensure a fresh and relaxed arrival after the longest of journeys have been one of Volvo strengths for decades. The buyer of the V60 Plug-in Hybrid can now specify a new sport seat that retains this traditional comfort and makes a perfect addition to the in-command feel of a true driver"s car. It has great hugging side support all the way from the thighs to the shoulders, so the seat keeps the driver firmly in position when cornering fast.

A two-stage braking system is yet another smart feature of the Volvo Plug-in Hybrid. When the driver presses the brake pedal, the system starts braking the rear axle"s electric motor. The mechanical brakes are activated only when the situation requires more braking power than the rear axle can provide. The braking energy can be used to recharge the battery.
