We have an old compool lx3000 system that fails when running in auto-mode. After some evaluation with its interface I conclude it can be replaced by a Pentair EachTouch system. To control what we currently have, I figure a PSL4 is sufficient so I bought a PN 522355. We got it installed last week and it worked like a charm. The wireless ScreenLogic interface allows us to control and monitor it anywhere online. The price for this bundle (2 sensors, 2 acurators and the wireless interface) is very good indeed. But, on the ET controller shown below you can see the header that connects the LCD to the main board... in a response above I suggested cutting the header pins, but there"s an easier way that doesn"t destroy the header...

You can heat the header pin between the two boards, as close to the LCD as you can, and then use the pump on the top of the LCD solder joint to suck out the solder. This allows you to heat and pump simultaneously... as soon as the solder melts you hit the pump plunger.
