Curved monitors provide enhanced viewing experiences. Curved monitors are the most revolutionary and ergonomically designed screen display, evolving from CRT, flat screens and LCD displays. Research studies conducted by multiple renowned independent research institutions found that curved monitors cause less user eyestrain than flat monitors.
• Thanks to its vertical array of liquid crystals, Samsung’s curved display ensures more uniform blacks across the entire screen with minimized light leakage, compared to IPS panels.
There are various panel technologies. Each has its own specific features - viewing angles, color reproduction, response time, brightness/contrast, production cost, etc. The image quality depends directly on the type of the display panel used.VA
The most widely used panels are those with 6, 8, and 10 bits for each of the RGB components of the pixel. They provide 18-, 24-, and 30-bit color, respectively.8 bits
Frame Rate Control (FRC) is a method, which allows the pixels to show more color tones. With quick cyclic switching between different color tones, an illusion for a new intermediate color tone is created. For example, by using FRC, a 6-bit display panel is able to show 16.7 millioin colors, which are typical for 8-bit display panels, and not the standard 262200 colors, instead. There are different FRC algorithms. No
The maximum number of colors, which the display is able to reproduce, depends on the type of the panel in use and color enhancing technologies like FRC.16777216 colors
The backlight is the source of light of the LCD display panels. The type of backlight determines the image quality and the color space of the display. There are various backlights such as CCFL, LED, WLED, RGB-LED, and etc.W-LED

This is a review of the Samsung 29-Inch Ultra-wide Curved Screen LED Monitor (model S29E790C, $599.99, samsung.com), which seems to be the most coveted piece of computer hardware in my building.
The entire monitor panel and case is gently curved, which makes quite a difference on such a wide screen. I"ve seen curved TVs described as immersive, but I didn"t think it really applied when I tend to sit 10 feet from the set.

Hi - I"ve tried to connect Optiplex 3040 with Win10 to a SS Curve monitor Model S29E790C via HDMI unsuccessfully. The screen stays black. I"ve downloaded and installed the monitor driver from SS website, tried both HDMI 1 and 2 on the monitor and adjusted different resolutions using a different monitor but none work. I connected a DVD player and my phone to the monitor and it display picture just find and can do side-by-side picture. Can any one help please?

Vibrant colors with near-perfect Adobe RGB coverage and true 10-bit input -: Samsung-developed BLU technology supports 99% of the Adobe RGB color space, based on the CIE 1931 standard. With almost full coverage of the RGB spectrum, you get incredibly accurate color with minimized color disparity when printing, meaning the colors you see on the screen will be practically identical to the ones actually printed. And using the 10-bit supported panel, 10-bit input signals are transmitted and processed through a 16-bit LUT, enabling an amazing 1.07 billion colors to be represented.
While there are many different manufacturers of LCD monitors, the panels themselves are actually only manufactured by a relatively small selection of companies. The three main manufacturers tend to be Samsung, AU Optronics and LG.Display (previously LG.Philips), but there are also a range of other companies like Innolux and CPT which are used widely in the market. Below is a database of all the current panel modules manufactured in each size. These show the module number along with important information including panel technology and a detailed spec. This should provide a detailed list of panels used, and can give you some insight into what is used in any given LCD display.
Note:These are taken from manufacturer product documentation and panel resource websites. Specs are up to date to the best of our knowledge, and new panels will be added as and when they are produced. Where gaps are present, the detail is unknown or not listed in documentation. The colour depth specs are taken from the manufacturer, and so where they specify FRC and 8-bit etc, this is their listing. Absence of such in the table below does not necessarily mean they aren’t using FRC etc, just that this is how the manufacturer lists the spec on their site.
